Classes consist of warm-up exercises, technique of body placement,
footwork, skirt movement, choreographies of different states and regions
of Mexico and warm down. This is a great form of exercise, as well as,
exposure to the Mexican culture. For ages 4 and above. Parents and
guardians are always welcome to participate.
Beginning I-A Folklorico (ages 4 and up)
In addition to the technique, a choreography of a dance will be taught at
a very slow and patient pace. Recommended for anyone who has never
had dance or Folklorico classes before.
Beginning II Folklorico (ages 6 and up)
In addition to the technique, a choreography of a dance will be taught at
a faster pace than the Beginning I level. Prerequisite: Beginning I
Folklorico classes. Instructor permission required for this class.
Beginning I Adult Folklorico (ages 15 and up)
In addition to the technique, a choreography of a dance will be taught at
the appropriate level. Recommended for anyone who has never had
dance or Folklorico classes before.
Beginning II Adult Folklorico (ages 15 and up)
n addition to the technique, a choreography of a dance will be taught at
the appropriate level. Prerequisite: Beginning I Adult Folklorico.
Instructor permission required for this class.
Intermediate Folklorico
This class is for Celaya Ballet de Folklorico y Flamenco dance company
members only. Instructor permission required for this class.
